Dr. Sharro Usry-Wilson is a dedicated educational leader with a wealth of experience spanning over twenty-six years. Dr. Usry-Wilson holds a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Administration from Georgia Southern University. She also earned an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Administration & Leadership from Augusta State University. Her journey in education began with a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia College & State University. Followed by a Master’s from Augusta State University.
Dr. Sharro Usry-Wilson holds professional certifications in Educational Leadership, Teacher Support Specialist, School Counseling, and Education. Throughout her career, Dr. Usry-Wilson has served in multiple capacities. Her diverse background has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of the various facets of education and the needs of students, educators, and communities.
Dr. Usry-Wilson has demonstrated her ability to lead instructional programs effectively, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning experiences for all students and faculty. Dr. Usry-Wilson has effectively utilized data to inform decision-making and drive improvement efforts. As an innovative leader, her proficiency in implementing processes for school improvement planning and monitoring is an influential attribute. Dr. Usry-Wilson is known for her strong work ethic, data-driven instructional leadership, and ability to build teams and effectively manage student behavior, as evidenced by her success in transforming school cultures through her servant transformational leadership style. UWELC problem statement is to close the critical gap in practical high-impact leadership readiness for emerging and current school leaders, including Principals, Instructional Coaches, and Assistant Principals so that they develop the comprehensive leadership capacity to lead sustainable school improvement and turnaround success.
